It was too bad. From the promo I wasn't expecting a James Bond type of a story. It actually was a good read.

Following John Steele around was an engaging time. Good character description and background were woven in. All the parts necessary for story development were there. This, allowing the reader’s mind to form detailed mental imagery during the reading.

4.0 out of 5 stars Who released this version of Stuart Field's book "Hidden Steel" for publishing?
Reviewed in Canada on October 10, 2020
Is this a joke?? I read the first book by the author Stuart Field and noticed nothing out of order. This one however, "Hidden Steel" is loaded with every thing wrong in the English language and rules of grammar. You can't even say it was unedited because most of the errors would not be part of anyone's first attempt at writing. What happened here? I know I'm not the first to notice this and I'm very happy I got a "free" download.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Story

Great book, well written. However, proof reading poor as oodles of grammatical errors and bad spelling ruined the best book I have read. No 2 coming up and hope the proof reader has been sacked and author has a new one. Cannot wait to see how Steel gets on.

This type of thriller does exactly what you expect from the headlines: nonstop action throughout. We're introduced to the tragic backstory of the lead character, and to complete the picture, an attractive female cop from NY is provided for further entertainment. All the ingredients are there for fun and games, so suspend belief, dive in, and try not to slip on the blood and body parts.
